Work at Hospital or private clinic While stepping in the career of nursing , the person has to choose from two options which are whether to work in a hospital or in a private practice. This is the deciding factor of the nurse as the circumstances are different. The two choices are relevant and benefiting but there are some constraints in both of them. If the nurse chooses to work in a hospital, the hospital premises would have disadvantages that they won’t get the level of seniority and the working hours given to them won’t be flexible. There would always be a rush of patients. This can sometimes add to the career as a plus point but at other times it would act as disadvantage only. In terms of benefit, nurse would get a better experience and that too at a fast pace. On the other hand, if they have joined with a private practitioner then they may face the major hindrance of lack of opportunities of rising higher in career because there are not much jobs in the practitioner’s office. If a nurse is working with a doctor then the income received would be lesser than the sum rewarded to them when working at a hospital. So, there are always the pros and cons of joining as nurse with both private doctors as well as in a big hospital. But, the nursing jobs require a lot of humanity and gratitude towards patients.
